The SMD2 Series features both a printer-driven connection (DK Port) and a USB Port to connect directly to the POS terminal instead of a printer. This new interface allows retailers and restaurants to collect and manage cash while monitoring the status of the cash drawer from anywhere. USB connectivity gives business owners the ability to have multiple cash drawers connected to the same host device and still be able to identify each drawer uniquely.
The Max Series joins two other Star Micronics cash drawer lines: The Value Series of affordable, standard cash drawers, and the Choice Series of extra-strong cash drawers with industry-favorite design features.
