Registration
Please contact the Department of Weights & Measures.
A Device Registration Form must be completed and sent to Weights & Measures.
Calibration
The business needs to contact a certified Service Company to have the mG-Scale properly installed and calibrated.
A complete list of certified Service Companies can be found HERE.
After correct calibration, the Service Company will complete a Placed-In-Service Form and the business will be placed on a list for state inspectors to visit.
Maintenance
Annual maintenance is recommended for the mG-Scales and should be performed by a certified Service Company.
An inspector from the Department of Weights & Measures will visit the store to test the scale for accuracy.
If the scale fails the business is subject to fine.
