Kate Orara: Hey there, retail tech enthusiasts! Welcome to the Rising Stars podcast, your go-to for all things retail tech and point of sale. I’m Kate Orara, Partner Development Manager at Star Micronics, and I’m excited to guide you through this journey. Here, we dive into the latest innovations shaping the retail, hospitality, and cannabis industries. So, whether you’re a techie or a business owner, this is your backstage pass to insider knowledge. Join me and the Star Micronics team as we innovate and rise together.

Welcome to another episode of the Rising Stars podcast brought to you by Star Micronics. I’m your host, Kate Orara, Partner Development Manager at Star, and today we’re going to talk about something I’m very passionate about—partnerships. Whether you’re a reseller or an independent software vendor, choosing your partnerships with a hardware manufacturer is a critical process. And why shouldn’t it be like dating a potential life partner? You’re looking for something similar in the professional space, and you really want to make the best decision for your business.

I have previously recorded my tips for ISVs and resellers, which we’ll link in the show notes. But in a nutshell, you want a hardware partner who provides support, creates opportunities, and continues to provide innovative solutions for you and your customers. One of the key things that resellers and ISVs undervalue or overlook are the partner programs their potential hardware partner offers, if any. The right partner program through a hardware manufacturer can make all the difference in your business’s success.

Today, we’re diving into the essential qualities to look for when considering a partner program. I’ll be sharing my tips on identifying a program that fits your needs, helps you stay competitive, and ultimately boosts your bottom line.

The first thing I want to cover is the easy onboarding and accessibility. A standout partner program will have a seamless onboarding process. The best programs should allow you to get up and running quickly with minimal paperwork. Look for programs that keep registration straightforward—no commitments, no minimum orders, no upfront costs. Programs like this enable you to start accessing benefits immediately without the hurdles.

Another crucial element is generous discounts. A partner program that values its partners will provide immediate cost savings to its resellers and ISVs. This could include discounts on hardware purchases or exclusive deals from authorized distributors. The financial flexibility allows you to scale with fewer risks and better margins.

Next on the list is marketing and integration support. This goes beyond the discounts. An effective partner program should provide marketing materials, integration support, and even offer demo units to help you sell effectively. This kind of support is key to positioning your business as a trusted provider of top-tier solutions. It’s about giving you the tools to stand out, showcase products with confidence, and address your customer needs more effectively.

Training is another big one. I think people overlook this so drastically. Training resources and access to a portal with self-service options can be game changers. Programs that prioritize training and provide partners with hands-on demo units foster deeper knowledge of the hardware. You’ll also want priority access to new products, so you’re always equipped with the latest technology for your clients.

Now, let’s talk about support. Look for programs with dedicated support teams. A specialist who can help you familiarize yourself with your dashboard and guide you through the partner portal can save you time and prevent issues down the line. This is especially helpful for those first few weeks when you’re learning the ropes. Also, having somebody to go to whenever there is an issue—maybe there’s a glitch in the portal, or you have a question about a product, and you just need that trusted advisor—you need to have a dedicated specialist to work with.

Finally, let’s talk about long-term profitability. A quality partner program should support you for long-term growth. For instance, some programs offer the ability to register special projects or access new revenue streams through trade show sponsorships or special projects. The goal is a program that evolves with your business rather than one that only meets short-term needs.

To recap, when evaluating a hardware manufacturer’s partner program, prioritize the ease of onboarding, immediate financial benefits, strong marketing and integration support, hands-on training, dedicated support, and long-term profitability. These are all the hallmarks of a program that can provide true value to your business.

If you’re considering partnering with a new hardware manufacturer, remember to evaluate these factors carefully. The right program can truly empower your business to thrive in today’s competitive market.

As a salon or spa owner, you create the personalized, relaxing — even luxurious — experiences your customers crave. However, managing a successful business behind the scenes is often anything but relaxing. In the 2020s, hiring, training, and overseeing staff have become increasingly time-consuming, taking you away from focusing on clients. Rising inflation has made product selection and inventory control essential to staying profitable, while effective marketing and brand-building are crucial to retaining customers.

Fortunately, investing in the right technology, like a versatile receipt or sticky label printer, can help address these challenges. A modern label printer as part of your spa or salon point of sale (POS) system can help lighten the load, giving you a practical way to keep things organized, showcase your brand, and free up time to focus on what matters most: delivering that perfect experience for every client.

Receipt and Label Printer Features for Salons and Spas

In choosing a receipt and label printer, it’s all about finding one that adds ease and polish to your day-to-day. Think of it as choosing a tool that blends seamlessly into the ambiance of your space—reliable, aesthetically pleasing, and able to handle the flow of customers. Start with high-quality output; after all, your brand is on every receipt and label that leaves your business. Clear, professional-looking prints keep things elegant, whether it’s a transaction receipt or a label for custom-blended products.

Speed and reliability are also key players here, especially during peak hours. You want a device that’s as efficient as it is intuitive—because training new or seasonal staff should be easy, leaving more time for creating client magic. A compact design that preserves precious counter space is also a plus, allowing you to maintain a clutter-free, welcoming atmosphere.

The TSP143IV SK linerless sticky label printer by Star Micronics is a great choice for spas, salons, and beauty parlors.
The TSP143IV SK repositionable linerless label printer by Star is the most compact 3" desktop sticky label printer on the market.

Connectivity with Your Spa or Salon Point of Sale System

Your POS system, whether it’s Square, Clover, or otherwise, is the backbone of your business, so any printer worth considering should connect seamlessly with it, creating a truly well thought-out experience. Look for printers with multiple connectivity options, like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, and Ethernet. These options allow for flexible placement and make sure the printer works with a variety of devices, from a mobile POS tablet to a desktop computer at the front desk.

Imagine the freedom of mobile connectivity: you’re no longer tethered to a single checkout counter, allowing staff to close out transactions wherever they need.

Star Micronics provides a range of printers with the right connectivity compatible with many POS systems, ensuring smooth operations so you can spend less time on tech management and more time on your clients.

Eco-Friendly Printing Solutions for a Sustainable Salon or Spa

There’s a reason modern receipt and label printers are a must for today’s salons and spas. Not only do they create that smooth client experience, but they also add value behind the scenes. These printers help support eco-friendly options, like energy-saving features, allowing your business to operate more sustainably while cutting down on waste.

Linerless label printers in particular use high-quality label rolls similar to traditional linered options, but without the silicone backing. This eliminates substantial liner waste, helping reduce environmental impact. Additionally, without a liner, each roll holds nearly twice as many labels, maximizing space and reducing the frequency of roll replacements.

More Benefits of a Modern Printer for Your Spa or Salon

Modern printers are also built for durability and ease. Features like auto-cutters and simple paper loading ensure minimal downtime, while advanced thermal print heads reduce maintenance needs. This level of reliability frees up your time for the things that matter most—like delivering the kind of service that keeps clients coming back.

Below are some more benefits that modern receipt and label printers can bring to spas, salons, and beauty parlors:

1. Easier Employee Training

Spas and salons often rely on the owner or long-time employees to share their knowledge of running the shop. Labeling the stockroom and equipment allows new employees to find what they need more quickly, collect information for effective inventory management, and communicate warranty information to service techs when equipment or tools need replacement or repair. New employees can learn how to print from your spa or salon POS system faster, work independently sooner, and devote their attention to customers to increase satisfaction with your business.

2. Inventory Control Made Simple

Receipt and label printers can help track products, whether they’re for salon use or retail. Barcodes or QR codes can be added to customized labels, marking inventory for easy identification. Also, transaction data from receipts provides insights into what’s selling, helping you make smart, data-driven inventory decisions.

3. Brand-Building Opportunities

Customized receipts and product labels featuring your logo add a professional touch that clients notice. Personalized messages and QR codes that send customers to loyalty programs or landing pages all work to create a better customer experience. This cohesive client experience reinforces your brand’s image and reflects the quality and personality of your spa or salon.

Beyond the Label: Elevating Brand Connection and Loyalty

Discover how strategic labeling can redefine customer engagement and boost brand loyalty in this digital age. “Beyond the Label” offers insights into innovative labeling techniques that help retailers and restaurateurs captivate and connect with their audience more effectively.

Receipt and Label Printers Made for Spas and Salons

Adding a high-quality thermal receipt or label printer is more than a business decision; it’s an investment in a smoother, more efficient client experience. With seamless POS connectivity, versatile media options, and thoughtful design, printers like the Star Micronics mC-Label3 multimedia label printer let you keep your workflow moving while maintaining your brand’s professional edge.

Imagine the time and energy you’ll save for the things that truly matter—like creating those unforgettable experiences your clients love and expect.

Kate Orara:
Hey there, retail tech enthusiasts! Welcome to the Rising Stars podcast, your go-to source for all things retail tech and point of sale.

Kate Orara:
Welcome back to another episode of the Rising Stars podcast! I’m really excited about today’s episode because I’m joined by a good friend in the industry, James Korte. If you’re watching, you already know who that is. And if you’re listening, you’re about to find out! James is the Director of Marketing at Blue Star. Is that recent? I mean, you just got promoted to Director, right, James?

James Korte:
I did, yes! It was a big moment. I’m terrible with dates, but I think it’s been about five months now—though it could be closer to a year. Time flies! But yes, it’s still fresh and very exciting. I’ve been in this industry for over ten years now, mainly in retail and hospitality technology. Blue Star is a large distributor, so we touch on pretty much every industry from a technology standpoint. I feel like people in this space are fascinated by the industry. I started as a designer, then moved into marketing, and now, here I am! And, Kate, when you messaged me about coming on the podcast and said, “Let’s talk about your favorite thing,” I didn’t even need clarification—I knew what you meant!

Kate Orara:
Yes! And I think we share a similar perspective. We’re both Millennials, so we really experienced the digital shift. I remember when Facebook first launched, and you needed a college email to join. I friended everyone because I wanted to have as many friends as possible! Our generation really pushed digital marketing forward.

James Korte:
Absolutely! Millennials really ushered in the digital era. I spent the first 13 years of my life without the internet, and then, suddenly, the world opened up. It changed everything for us. And yes, Zuckerberg, a fellow Millennial, created Facebook. So, here we are, a generation that has one foot in the “real” world and another online.

Kate Orara:
We could probably do a whole other podcast on the generational topic! I did one recently on marketing to Gen Z with Tyler Wells from MicroTouch. That could be another part two we dive into later.

Kate Orara:
So, moving into the focus of today’s episode: digital marketing. I know LinkedIn is a central platform in our industry. What’s one digital marketing trend you’re excited about that the channel hasn’t fully embraced yet?

James Korte:
Great question! I’d say the trend I’m most excited about, which the channel is a bit slow to adopt, is entertainment as a marketing strategy. A lot of younger generations realize that interrupting a social media feed with a super buttoned-up, product-centric message doesn’t work as well anymore. The key is engaging your audience purely for the sake of engagement. I know some people think, “Why would I do that? I’m here to grow my business!” But if you’re constantly boring people, they’ll stop paying attention when you actually have something important to share.

There’s also an algorithmic element to it—if you spend time being generally entertaining and helpful, your business-related posts are more likely to reach people when the time is right. I think the channel needs to embrace micro-influencers, too. Even though these might not be huge celebrities, they’re influential in specific verticals. We tried an offering last year where vendors could hire someone on Cameo to give them a shoutout. It worked well and gave us a taste of influencer marketing. The point is, if you create fun and engaging content, people will stay tuned in for when you do share something business-relevant.

Kate Orara:
I couldn’t agree more! You actually did something fun at Retail Now—it was like an “Olympics,” and I remember there was a “flex off.” That kind of engagement shows personality, which people love. We’re people working for companies, and it’s so important to show that human side.

Kate Orara:
So, as the Director of Marketing, what’s your favorite digital marketing campaign you’ve ever worked on, or that someone else created, and why did it stand out?

James Korte:
I’ll share two examples. One of our own, which wasn’t groundbreaking but was successful, and then one I just admire. First, we ran a campaign in late 2023 for an emerging tech vendor, Loop, an EV charging company. We targeted Wyndham property owners with a three-pronged approach: physical direct mail, meta (Facebook and Instagram) ads, and outbound telemarketing. We made it highly targeted to Wyndham, which resonated really well. The response was fantastic—28 people requested site visits, and it generated a few million dollars in revenue. It was successful because it was so targeted, and we connected with people in the way they preferred.

The other example is from a brand called Liquid Death. They make canned water, but it’s branded like a heavy metal album. Their tagline was “Murder Your Thirst,” and their ad campaigns were edgy—they even did a video where someone was waterboarded with Liquid Death. It was shocking and very bold. It’s not everyone’s style, but that’s the point—it created a loyal following of people who loved the brand’s irreverent style. It’s a great example of standing out in a crowded market by being different.

Kate Orara:
We may not suggest waterboarding or electric shocking, but I get the point! So, in the channel space, what does a perfect customer journey using digital marketing look like to you?

James Korte:
In an ideal world, the journey would go like this: the customer hasn’t heard of us, but they see our targeted ads on LinkedIn, our podcast sponsorships, or our presence at events. By the time they reach out, they’d think, “Blue Star is everywhere I am, and everyone I trust seems to be aligned with them.” They’d know who we are, what we do, and they’d trust that we know how to help them.

Kate Orara:
Love it! What are some of the biggest mistakes you see businesses in our industry making in their digital marketing efforts today?

James Korte:
Three points: First, a lot of businesses underinvest in marketing. It should be as prioritized as any other discipline, like HR or sales. Second, they try to be too broad in their market focus, listing 14 different industries they serve. Focus on a niche where you can truly stand out. Lastly, they often rely on incremental changes to their product rather than building a brand personality. Trust and human connection are what really matter. It’s about creating relationships and brand identity, not just incremental product changes.

Kate Orara:
Couldn’t agree more. Human relationships are what drive loyalty, and focusing on a niche lets you speak directly to specific customers. For those with limited budgets, what’s a creative way smaller resellers and ISVs can compete against the larger brands? And if there’s one marketing tool or channel they should focus on, which would it be?

James Korte:
Great question! Smaller players can focus on niche markets where they can provide something tailored and special. Look up reviews on larger competitors and see where they fall short, then capitalize on those areas. In terms of a tool, I’d recommend a no-code webpage builder or a design tool like Canva. These make it easy to create professional-looking materials without a huge budget, allowing smaller companies to look bigger and more polished online.

Kate Orara:
I love those suggestions! Having a polished digital presence can make a smaller company look much larger, which instills confidence. As someone who’s often thinking ahead, what’s the wildest prediction you have for the future of digital marketing in our industry?

James Korte:
I think we’re going to see a shift where personalities lead brands more than logos. Founder-led brands will become the norm, with CEOs and leaders creating content and being the face of the company. It’s a natural evolution with people like us becoming the leaders now. Tyler Young at Tonic POS is a great example—he’s built such a recognizable personal brand that’s aligned with his company’s goals. People will gravitate toward personalities over corporate branding.

Kate Orara:
Couldn’t agree more. I think we’re definitely headed that way. It’s been so much fun chatting with you, and I think a part two is definitely needed—maybe after NRF! Before we close out, if there’s one thing in the channel you could change today, what would it be and why?

James Korte:
Honestly? I wish I could go to every event! I always leave events feeling inspired, and there’s no better way to gather insights directly from people in the field. Conversations can lead to great ideas, and that feedback loop is invaluable.

Kate Orara:
Absolutely. Thank you so much for your time, James. This has been an amazing conversation. Where can people follow you and stay updated with what you’re doing?

James Korte:
Thank you, Kate! I’m active on LinkedIn, sharing content around marketing, design, and my observations on the industry. I’d love to connect with anyone interested. And a quick shout-out to Blue Star—we’re a technology distributor focused on building meaningful partnerships and helping businesses succeed through marketing and beyond.

Kate Orara:
Thanks again, James! And that wraps up this episode of the Rising Stars podcast. A huge thanks to our listeners and our phenomenal guest for sharing such valuable insights. Restaurants and food service companies with airport locations have an immense opportunity to provide the meals and snacks travelers count on to sustain them before or after flights. However, filling orders and optimizing customer experiences can be a challenge without the right airport restaurant solutions.

Airport restaurant and concessions staff have to deal with demand from thousands of people, particularly when large flights land or at traditional mealtimes. Furthermore, travelers are looking for a variety of experiences. Some want quick service before catching a connecting flight and will not be patient if forced to waste time standing in line. Others want to relax in a restaurant during a long day of travel.

Regardless of how they engage, travelers want efficient service and food made to order. The complexity of managing multiple restaurants can make meeting those demands even more challenging. Operators may have numerous locations throughout an airport or have locations with different branding and menus. Ensuring smooth operations at each restaurant, counter, and concession stand requires real-time visibility and centralized control.

Must-Have Airport Restaurant Solutions

Technology tailored specifically for airport restaurants helps meet high customer expectations for quick, efficient service, even during peak times. Modern airport restaurant and food service operations leverage the following technologies:

1. Online Ordering and Cloud-Ready Hardware

With more travelers opting to order food and beverages from their mobile devices, online ordering has become an essential service for airport restaurants. Allowing customers to browse menus, place orders, and pay directly from their phones not only enhances convenience but also helps reduce wait times at busy counters. Customers can complete an order with a few taps as they move through the terminal, allowing staff to prepare the food before they even approach the restaurant.

To support this level of convenience, having cloud-ready hardware is ideal. Cloud-print-enabled printers receive orders directly from online ordering platforms, whether from mobile apps or websites, minimizing the need for extra devices or manual input. This technology helps staff stay updated with orders in real time, reducing delays and making sure that all orders—no matter where they come from—are accurately printed and efficiently managed.

Star Micronics’ CloudPRNT technology makes this process flawless by allowing printers to communicate directly with web-based ordering services. With Star’s CloudPRNT Next, enhanced by the MQTT protocol, airport restaurants benefit from faster, more reliable cloud communication, ensuring orders are printed promptly, even in high-demand environments.

2. Self-Service Kiosks

Deploying kiosks is one of the best ways to keep lines short and minimize errors and waste. Instead of waiting for assistance from an employee, travelers place their orders at a kiosk, using a touchscreen to choose precisely what they want.

Self-service “kiosks” can take many forms, from large interactive digital signage to touchscreens embedded in cabinets. However, a tablet in a secure enclosure supported by a tablet stand or display gives airport restaurants a space-saving way to provide self-service options.

With self-service kiosks, travelers are free to quickly browse their options and potentially even place orders with different restaurants or vendors near them from the same screen. Kiosk software can make nutrition and allergen information readily available and upsell customers with offers to expand an order into a combo or add a side.

After making their selections, travelers can pay at the kiosk using cash, a payment card, or a mobile wallet. A receipt or ticket with an order number is then printed for easy tracking. The receipt can also include an estimated time when the order will be ready so travelers can purchase items for their flights or run other errands before picking up their food.

3. Kitchen Printers

Once travelers place their orders, it’s essential for airport kitchens to receive them quickly and accurately. Kitchen printers ensure each order reaches the back of house promptly, helping staff prepare and serve food efficiently, even during busy times. By improving the order process, these printers contribute to faster service, ultimately creating a smoother experience and happier customers.

Impact printers are known for their durability and can handle the demands of busy kitchen environments. They reliably produce clear, legible orders, performing well despite the heat and humidity often found in kitchen spaces. These printers also offer fast output, simple paper loading, and a compact design to optimize space.

The SP700 series by Star Micronics supports CloudPRNT technology, which allows kitchen printers to receive online orders directly from cloud-based platforms without additional hardware. This capability makes it easier for staff to keep up with orders and reduces delays, providing a positive experience for both in-house and online customers.

4. POS and Receipt Printers

For airport restaurant operations, POS and receipt printers play a crucial role in ensuring fast and polished customer experiences. High-volume environments require efficient POS systems that can quickly process various payment types, from mobile wallets to contactless cards, meeting the fast-paced demands of airport travelers. Paired with high-speed thermal receipt printers, these systems speed up transactions, minimizing wait times for customers eager to grab a bite before their flights.

In addition to efficient processing, clear and readable receipts improve order tracking and pickup for customers and staff alike. Thermal receipt printers provide crisp, legible receipts with order numbers and instructions, helping travelers and staff stay organized in the fast-moving airport environment.

5. Label Printers

Label printers have become essential in airport restaurants, providing a versatile solution for labeling various items, from grab-and-go meals to fresh ingredients. Clear, easy-to-read labels display product names, nutrition facts, and prices, allowing travelers to make quick purchasing decisions, which is particularly valuable in fast-paced environments.

Linerless label printers, in particular, offer substantial benefits for airport restaurants. Unlike traditional labels, linerless labels do not have a silicone backing, which makes them quicker to apply, eliminates unnecessary waste, and keeps workstations cleaner and safer. These printers can use either a repositionable adhesive for temporary labeling or a stronger adhesive for more permanent applications.

mC-Label3 Multimedia Printer

The Star Micronics mC-Label3 is a versatile multimedia printer that prints a wide range of labels and receipts, including both permanent and repositionable sticky linerless. It features cloud connectivity and innovative technologies like SteadyLAN and TetherLAN for enhanced printing convenience.

6. Barcode Scanners

For restaurants looking to optimize inventory management and simplify workflows, barcodes or QR codes are an ideal addition to labels. Scanning these codes allows staff to quickly verify product details, check inventory levels, and even monitor sales trends for efficient reordering. Barcodes on receipts or QR codes for mobile app ordering also streamline the customer experience by making it easier to retrieve order details or participate in loyalty programs.

Additionally, barcode scanners, whether handheld or countertop, are invaluable for smooth and accurate order processing, age verification, and stock tracking. From portable devices for stockroom use to fixed scanners for checkout, barcode scanning equipment enhances operational efficiency and accuracy, giving airport restaurant staff reliable tools to improve customer service and maintain organized, well-stocked inventory.

Think Omnichannel for Airport Restaurant Solutions

Travelers come from all walks of life, and their preferences for how they interact with businesses vary widely. For instance, non-native speakers may find it easier to use a kiosk with multilingual support, while travelers with mobility issues may prefer browsing menu options on a screen instead of moving from restaurant to restaurant. Some guests may even want the convenience of ordering from multiple airport eateries at once.

On the other hand, travelers rushing to catch a connecting flight often seek quick grab-and-go options with fast self-checkout. Leveraging an omnichannel approach with airport restaurant solutions makes all types of engagement possible.

Additionally, these solutions empower airport restaurants to drive greater operational efficiency, improve order accuracy, and minimize waste. By connecting front- and back-of-house processes, operators can ensure control, consistency, and high-quality customer service. With the right technology, airport restaurants can overcome the unique challenges of airport hospitality, creating a frictionless, low-stress experience that benefits both travelers and staff.

Kate Orara:
Welcome back to another episode of the Rising Stars podcast, where we dive into the latest strategies and insights for staying ahead in the ever-evolving retail market. Hopefully, you all know me by now, but if not, I’m your host, Kate Orara. In this episode, we’re going to tackle a critical topic that affects every business in the retail space: cybersecurity.

As technology continues to advance and more retailers rely on digital tools to operate (which they should!), the risk of cyber threats is higher than ever. Whether you’re a reseller advising a client or a retailer looking to protect your business, understanding what to invest in for cybersecurity can be a game-changer. Today, we’re going to cover the top—well, my top—cybersecurity investments that resellers should be recommending to their retail clients. My goal for this episode is to provide you with the details you need to bring to your end users so you can build and maintain trust with them.

First on the list is endpoint protection. In a retail environment, there are numerous points of entry that cybercriminals can exploit—think point-of-sale systems, tablets, kiosks, and even customer-facing devices. By investing in advanced endpoint protection solutions, retailers can monitor in real-time, detect threats, and automatically intervene before issues escalate. Resellers should emphasize to their clients the importance of having robust protection at every endpoint to create a secure digital perimeter.

Next up is multi-factor authentication, or MFA for short. You’ve probably heard this term quite a bit, and for good reason. MFA adds an additional layer of security by requiring more than just a password to access sensitive systems. Encourage your clients to adopt MFA for any platform that handles sensitive customer or payment information, such as e-commerce sites and CRM systems. This simple step can drastically reduce the risk of unauthorized access.

Now, let’s talk about data encryption. Data is often most vulnerable when it’s being transmitted or stored. By using comprehensive encryption strategies, retailers can ensure that sensitive information like customer data and payment details is secure. Resellers should advise their clients to implement full-disk encryption for devices, end-to-end encryption for data in transit, and strong encryption protocols for data at rest.

Moving on to network security tools. A secure network is the backbone of any retail operation, protecting against threats like malware, ransomware, and DDoS attacks. Firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and secure Wi-Fi with network segmentation are all essential investments. Advise your clients to separate their customer and operational networks to minimize the impact of potential breaches.

Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments are another key area for investment. By routinely checking their systems, retailers can identify and address vulnerabilities before they are exploited. Recommend quarterly or semi-annual audits, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to keep their cybersecurity measures up-to-date and effective.

Now, let’s not forget about the human element: employee training on cybersecurity awareness is huge—bigger than you think. Many breaches occur due to human error, whether it’s falling for a phishing scam or mishandling sensitive data. Regular training can make employees aware of potential threats and best practices. Encourage your clients to conduct ongoing training sessions and simulated phishing attacks to keep cybersecurity top of mind for their teams.

Okay, so here’s a little side note—a funny story I’m going to share with you all. The IT team at Star is constantly testing us to make sure we understand the differences between spam and phishing. One time, they got me good. Employees local to the Star New Jersey headquarters can bring their dogs to the office, as long as they’re well-trained. I’m a dog person—I love dogs! I have a dog myself, her name’s Luna, and she’s awesome. Well, an email went out from what looked to be the HR department, saying that a dog was loose outside the office. The email asked if we could look at the attached image and let them know who it belonged to. Well, I wanted to see the dog, so yes—yours truly, me, opened the attachment. I ended up having to take an entire course (begrudgingly) on how to identify phishing emails.

While it might seem like common sense to some, it’s not as obvious to everyone. Educating others on slowing down and thinking twice can actually prevent a breach, so education is key. Side note to the side note—I’m now very wary of opening anything with an attachment, which isn’t exactly a bad thing!

Getting back to the main point: what happens if there is a breach? That’s where incident response and recovery planning come in. Even with the best defenses, breaches can happen. Having a plan helps minimize damage and speeds up recovery. Resellers should advocate for a comprehensive incident response plan that includes clear steps for dealing with breaches and robust disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.

Now, let’s talk about payments. Secure payment solutions are a must, since payment data is a prime target for attackers. Investing in secure, PCI DSS-compliant payment processing solutions is crucial. Recommend options like tokenization and EMV technology to your clients to enhance the security of their transactions.

Next on my list is ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. Depending on where a retailer operates, they may need to adhere to regulations like GDPR, CCPA, or PCI DSS. Non-compliance can lead to hefty fines and loss of customer trust. Advise your clients to use compliance management solutions that automate monitoring and reporting to stay on top of these requirements.

Finally, consider recommending cyber insurance. This is often overlooked but can be a lifesaver in the event of a cyber incident. Cyber insurance can help mitigate the financial losses from data breaches, business interruptions, and the costs associated with remediation and notification. Encourage your clients to explore policies that cover a wide range of potential cyber threats.

So, there you have it—my top recommendations for cybersecurity investments in the retail space. By advising your clients on these key areas, you can help them build a strong defense against cyber threats and protect their businesses and customers.

Thanks for tuning in to this episode of the Rising Stars podcast. If you found this episode helpful, make sure to subscribe and leave us a review. Don’t forget to share it with your network and customers so you can be the go-to retail security expert.

Until next time—stay safe and secure!

Today, the cloud reigns in the world of point-of-sale technology. Businesses are moving from on-premises systems to cloud-based solutions. This is especially true for the retail and hospitality sectors, which are embracing the benefits of cloud printing technology.

As a result, these sectors are demanding from their independent software vendors (ISVs) something they never requested in the era of on-premises software: fast, reliable, and scalable cloud solutions. This is where the MQTT protocol offers transformative benefits, helping ISVs save time, cut costs, and optimize cloud resources.

What is the MQTT Protocol and Why Does It Matter to ISVs?

MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) is a lightweight communication protocol built for efficient, low-bandwidth data transfer, providing ISVs with a solution that boosts system performance while keeping operational demands low. Unlike traditional protocols like HTTP, which rely on constant polling, MQTT uses a publish-subscribe model—where devices (publishers) send data to a central broker, which then forwards the data only to devices that have expressed interest in receiving it (subscribers). This method sends data only when necessary, eliminating the need for constant checks and updates.

The difference results in faster, more efficient cloud communication that reduces resource burdens and cuts unnecessary costs. For ISVs managing cloud-based printing systems, such as POS printers or remote services, this approach offers a significant advantage in reliability and performance.

At its core, MQTT facilitates real-time communication between devices and cloud applications, making it especially valuable for ISVs handling systems that require stable connections. The protocol helps ISVs manage cloud-based applications more effectively by reducing network congestion and allowing for faster, real-time data transfer.

This efficiency is particularly beneficial for companies operating across multiple locations—such as retail chains, hospitality franchises, or food delivery services—where smooth operations across dispersed regions are essential.

Find Out About Star SDKs

For ISVs navigating the complexities of printer integration, the path forward is often strewn with challenges. Get to know Star Micronics’ range of software development kits (SDKs), each uniquely crafted to address these challenges and enhance your integration prowess.

Time-Saving Benefits of MQTT for ISVs

Implementing MQTT in your systems can greatly optimize print job management and POS communication. Its instantaneous data transfer reduces latency, making operations faster and more efficient. This is especially useful for businesses in retail or hospitality, where speedy data processing is critical.

Key Benefits:

  • Reduced Latency: Real-time data transfer processes print jobs faster, minimizing delays and downtime.
  • Automated Communication: Automatically maintains server-device connections, removing the need for frequent manual checks.
  • Improved Scalability: Lightweight design supports easy expansion without overloading networks as businesses grow.
  • Faster Transactions: Quicker print jobs result in improved customer service, particularly in fast-moving environments.

Cost-Saving Advantages of MQTT

In addition to time savings, MQTT also provides notable financial savings for ISVs. One of the main ways this is achieved is through minimized bandwidth usage. Unlike HTTP, which consumes bandwidth continuously by polling for updates, MQTT only transmits data when it’s needed. This results in lower data consumption, which directly reduces expenses related to bandwidth and server use.

For cloud-based printing solutions, the MQTT protocol can also help ISVs reduce their cloud storage needs. By limiting data transmissions to necessary updates, less information is stored in the cloud, meaning ISVs need fewer resources to manage their systems. This leads to lower cloud hosting costs and makes it easier to maintain scalable, cost-efficient operations as business demands increase.

Additionally, the use of MQTT can lower infrastructure costs by streamlining server needs to handle constant data traffic. ISVs can operate with leaner infrastructure, which translates to reduced investment in hardware and network systems.

How the MQTT Protocol Saves ISVs Time, Money, and Cloud Space

How MQTT Optimizes Cloud Space

Another critical benefit of MQTT for ISVs is its ability to minimize cloud storage usage. The protocol uses a publish-subscribe model, dramatically reducing the amount of cloud space required, which is particularly advantageous for ISVs managing multi-location businesses that rely on cloud-based systems for remote printing, inventory management, and more.

By refining data transfer practices and reducing the amount of unnecessary information stored in the cloud, MQTT helps ISVs reduce reliance on costly cloud storage solutions. This is particularly useful for businesses experiencing rapid growth or those looking to expand into new locations without increasing their cloud infrastructure costs.

As cloud storage fees continue to rise, the efficiency provided by MQTT can result in significant long-term savings for ISVs. With MQTT, you’re only using cloud resources when absolutely necessary, which helps you avoid overage fees and ensures that you always have sufficient cloud capacity for the most critical tasks.

  • Reduced Cloud Storage Usage: MQTT sends data only when updates are necessary, which significantly decreases cloud space requirements, especially for businesses managing multiple locations.
  • Optimized Data Transfer: By cutting down on unnecessary data transmissions, MQTT ensures that ISVs need fewer cloud resources, lowering reliance on expensive storage solutions.
  • Long-Term Cost Savings: As cloud storage fees increase, the reduced data transmission of MQTT helps ISVs avoid overage fees, resulting in substantial cost savings over time.
  • Scalability for Growing Businesses: MQTT’s lightweight design allows ISVs to scale their operations efficiently without overwhelming the network, making it ideal for businesses looking to expand.
  • Improved Cloud Resource Management: With MQTT, ISVs can ensure that cloud resources are used only when necessary, maintaining ample capacity for critical tasks without overspending on storage infrastructure.

Scalability and Efficiency for Multi-Location Businesses

For businesses operating across multiple locations, adaptability is essential. The MQTT protocol makes it easier for ISVs to manage print jobs and other critical tasks across geographically dispersed locations without overwhelming the system. Whether you’re running a chain of retail stores, restaurants, or even healthcare clinics, MQTT ensures that your cloud-based systems stay responsive, reliable, and easy to manage.

With the MQTT protocol, ISVs can monitor multiple devices and systems from a centralized hub, simplifying communication and ensuring consistency across all locations. This allows businesses to scale without needing major infrastructure updates, making it an ideal solution for growing companies looking to maintain efficiency while expanding.

Kate Orara:
Well, hello, everybody, and welcome back to another episode of the Rising Stars podcast. I’m your host, Kate Orara, and I’m so happy you’re here today. I’m really excited because I’ve got a really good friend of mine from the industry, Tyler Wells, who is the ISV and Strategic Partner Manager at MicroTouch. Tyler, welcome!

Tyler Wells:
Thanks, Kate! Like you said, we’ve known each other for quite a few years now—almost going on a decade. Back when I was working at Mimo Monitors as their Business Development Manager, I was in the tech hardware space for quite a while. At MicroTouch, I manage our ISVs and strategic partners. As we go to market with solutions, end users and resellers are always asking for a complete solution, not just a touchscreen. So I manage the partners to build a solution through our reseller group, making sure we have great customer service and grow everyone’s business.

ISVs for hardware companies are an integral part of business growth and understanding the market. They’re an influential piece of our business, and I’m proud to work with them through a company like MicroTouch. Traditionally, we’ve worked with ISVs in North America and Latin America, but we’re also moving into self-service and QSR POS in Europe and Africa. It’s been exciting. I’ve been with the MicroTouch team since their inception three years ago, and it’s been a fun ride watching our prominence grow in the market.

Kate Orara:
It’s been fun watching not only their development but also your development, Tyler. You’ve been on the 40 Under 40, now 50 Under 50, and you’re still not even 40 yet! Your girl here has been in the 40s for a little while now. Just to let you know—the water’s fine when you get here. [laughs]

Tyler Wells:
[laughs] Well, I appreciate that, Kate. It’s really thanks to the mentors and partners I’ve had throughout my career. They’ve set me up to succeed, and with resources like the RSPA and our partners, we’re surrounded by great people who support and help our growth. That’s for sure.

Kate Orara:
Absolutely! So, the structure of this podcast is usually interview-based, but today, we’re doing things a little differently. Tyler and I were fortunate to be on a panel together at RSPA’s RetailNOW, a couple of weeks ago, which was in Vegas. If you’re listening to this in the future, that’s the context. We were on a panel titled “Generational Selling,” where we shared takeaways for resellers and software partners on how to sell to different generations.

If you weren’t at the panel, let me tell you—it was one of the most passionate and active sessions I’ve ever been a part of in my nearly 19 years in this channel. What about you, Tyler?

Tyler Wells:
Yes, it was incredibly passionate. And what stood out to me was that it wasn’t even the panelists who spoke the most—it was the audience! We were excited about the topic, and so was the crowd. They started asking questions, and before we knew it, the whole room was engaged. It was great to see that this is a hot topic for the channel.

Kate Orara:
Exactly! What surprised me was how many different generations are in the workforce right now. Tyler and I are both Millennials, but even within that, we have different experiences because Millennials span a broad range from 1981 to 1996. Tyler, do you want to touch on some of the key generational characteristics?

Tyler Wells:
Sure. Baby Boomers, born from 1946 to 1964, really value loyalty and face-to-face communication. They prefer to make deals with a handshake or verbal agreement. Generation X, born from 1965 to 1980, is independent, pragmatic, and values work-life balance. They were the first to adopt technology like cell phones and the internet.

Millennials, from 1981 to 1996, have never really known a world without technology. We grew up with cell phones and adapted to the digital age. And Gen Z, born from 1997 onwards, were practically born with a cell phone in hand! They’re digital natives, but that doesn’t always mean they’re the best communicators in person.

Kate Orara:
Exactly! My kids don’t even know what a landline is. I remember explaining a dial tone to them at a soccer tournament—it was hilarious. And I think that really ties into how each generation prefers to communicate. Boomers and Gen X are more likely to pick up the phone, while Millennials and Gen Z might prefer texting or emails. So, how do you adjust your communication strategy for each generation?

Tyler Wells:
For Boomers and Gen X, I keep things clear, concise, and direct. They prefer straightforward communication—no room for misinterpretation. For Millennials and Gen Z, I’m more relaxed and conversational, but you still have to be mindful of tone, especially with texts and emails. Emojis can help, but they can also be misinterpreted.

Kate Orara:
Right! And when it comes to building trust, each generation values it differently. What are some strategies for building trust with these different groups?

Tyler Wells:
Authenticity is key. Cold calling doesn’t work as well as it used to, because people are wary of scams and phishing. You have to build trust through consistent communication—whether it’s email, phone, or in person—and show that you’re genuinely invested in solving their problems.

Kate Orara:
Absolutely. And let’s talk about confrontation—Millennials and Gen Z tend to avoid it. How can we encourage these generations to deal with issues head-on?

Tyler Wells:
Setting the right expectations is crucial. If there’s an issue, don’t shy away from it. Address the problem directly and explain how you plan to fix it. This turns an awkward conversation into an opportunity to build even more trust.

Kate Orara:
Exactly. It’s all about owning the problem and showing that you care about the outcome. Now, let’s shift gears to sales techniques. What aspects of a product or service should be emphasized to appeal to each generation’s priorities?

Tyler Wells:
Loyalty is a big factor across all generations, but it looks different depending on the age group. Boomers and Gen X are loyal to brands they trust, while Millennials and Gen Z are more likely to shop around using the internet and apps to compare options. Keeping them loyal requires innovation and competitive pricing.

Kate Orara:
Yes! My husband loves to compare car insurance quotes, even though I’m more loyal to brands that have treated us well. It’s funny how Millennials and Gen Z rely on technology for these decisions.

Tyler Wells:
Exactly. And speaking of technology, overcoming stereotypes is important. You can’t assume that Gen X won’t understand new tech, or that Gen Z won’t appreciate a personal touch. Each client is unique, so we need to approach them as individuals.

Kate Orara:
Totally agree. Now, let’s talk about future trends in retail tech. What do you see coming that could help bridge generational gaps?

Tyler Wells:
AI, VR, and AR are the big ones right now. AI, for example, is transforming how we interact with customers and streamline processes. But we need to make sure we’re educating older generations on how to use these technologies safely. We need to address cybersecurity concerns while also showing how these tools can make life easier.

Kate Orara:
Absolutely. AI is here to stay, and while there’s some hesitancy—especially among Boomers and Gen X—it’s all about showing the benefits without overwhelming them.

Tyler Wells:
Exactly. We need to provide the right education and support for everyone to feel comfortable adopting these new technologies.

Kate Orara:
Well, Tyler, I think we’ve covered a lot today. Anything else you’d like to add before we wrap up?

Tyler Wells:
No, I think we did a great job covering the key points. It’s been a great conversation, and I’m always happy to talk about these topics.

Kate Orara:
Thanks so much, Tyler! And thank you to our listeners for tuning in. Be sure to subscribe to our podcast on your favorite platform—whether it’s Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or anywhere else—and leave us a review. Let us know what you’d like to hear more about. I’d love to have Tyler back for a part two! Thanks again, everyone, and until next time, this is Kate Orara signing off. Together, we rise!

If you’re looking to start a wash-and-fold laundry service (also known as wash-dry-fold) or add it to your current laundromat or dry-cleaning business, having the right POS system for wash and fold services is essential. To save both money and time, it’s helpful to know exactly what POS hardware is required to operate efficiently. In this post, we’ll outline the key components your POS system for wash and fold laundry services should include for success.

What is a Wash-and-Fold Laundry Service?

A wash-and-fold laundry service is an onsite laundry service that washes, dries, and neatly folds clothing and other items from the customer for pickup or delivery. The customer either drops off and picks up the clean clothes at a later date from the same location, or a driver will pick up the laundry from the customer’s location and then wash, dry, fold, and deliver the clothes back to the customer.

Adding Wash-and-Fold Services to Your Laundry Business Can Be Profitable

Wash-and-fold laundry services are rapidly increasing in demand, making it a highly profitable addition to any laundry business. With more people working from home and less need for dry-cleaning, casual and comfortable clothing is piling up. Many customers prefer the convenience of outsourcing their laundry rather than handling it themselves, driving the growing popularity of wash-and-fold services.

Providing exceptional customer service is crucial for standing out in the competitive wash-and-fold laundry industry. Offering pick-up and delivery services adds convenience for your customers, setting you apart from competitors. Along with neatly folding and packaging their laundry, including a personalized note, coupons, or branded tags can enhance the customer experience and present your business as more professional.

Considerations When Choosing a POS System for Wash and Fold

To run a successful business in this industry, having the right POS system for wash and fold laundry services is necessary. Think about all the different aspects of your business before choosing a point-of-sale system. It’s important to consider the following:

  • How many employees will use the system?
  • What payment methods will you accept?
  • Will you offer recurring laundry services?
  • Do I need in-house payment terminals or mobile payment options?

These are just a few factors that should be considered when selecting which POS system best suits your needs.

The Best POS System for Wash and Fold Services

Having the best hardware and software for your POS system for wash and fold laundry services is crucial. Here’s what you’ll need:

POS Software

POS software does more than print receipts—it manages inventory, tracks customer preferences, and provides detailed analytics. Many POS software solutions are tailored to laundry services, including wash-and-fold operations.

POS Hardware

Next, you’ll need a computer or tablet device to interact with your POS software and take payments. You’ll need a tablet display stand and a proper enclosure for your mobile device to secure and protect it. A credit card terminal that reads EMV cards to comply with future security updates is critical.

If you want to accept payments via customers’ phones, be sure to have the correct payment terminal for that. You will also want a cash drawer with the proper capacity for your cash flow so you never run out of change.

Trade Legal POS Scale

Most wash-and-fold laundry services charge by the pound, so an accurate POS scale is a must. You want a scale that is easy to connect to the rest of your POS hardware and can be integrated with your POS software without any problem or delay. Be sure the scale is “trade legal” and can measure a hefty amount of weight.

Barcode Scanner

A reliable barcode scanner is essential for tracking items and managing inventory. For your wash and fold POS system, choose a scanner that reads both 1D and 2D barcodes to streamline order management and customer payments.

2D barcodes cover things like QR codes, which are now widely used and hugely popular. Since customers can also scan them with their phones, QR codes can be utilized on order labels or receipts to take clients right to your website or landing page. This way, you can showcase ongoing promotions or holiday hours, and increase customer engagement with your brand.

Star offers a comprehensive range of IP-rated 1D/2D barcode scanners, ideal for diverse business needs. From retail to healthcare, our versatile scanners excel in parsing driver’s license and ID barcodes, ensuring swift and accurate data capture. Thermal Receipt & Label Printers

Finally, having trusted receipt and label printers will do your company wonders. A thermal receipt printer allows you to print professional-looking receipts, enhancing your brand. Still, some cloud-based printers can even allow automated promotional marketing to be set up and scheduled, printing with your customized receipt with the same QR code or promotional information to boost customer engagement as mentioned above.

Details like this can differentiate your business from competitors and help foster customer loyalty, encouraging repeat visits.

Impact Printers

Impact printers, like the SP700 from Star Micronics, are particularly useful in wash-and-fold laundry services for their ability to produce durable, long-lasting prints. Impact printers use ink ribbons to create clear, smudge-proof tags that can withstand the high temperatures and humidity commonly found in laundry environments.

For laundry services, these printers can produce durable tags that are attached to customer orders for tracking. This ensures that clothes are easily identified and organized throughout the washing, drying, and folding processes.

Additionally, most impact printers offer two-color printing, which allows for important details, like customer names or special instructions, to stand out on the tags, further improving efficiency and accuracy. Impact printers like the SP700 provide reliable performance in hot and humid settings, making them an ideal solution for laundromats or any business offering wash-and-fold services.

Success in the highly competitive restaurant industry requires more than just providing great food and service. It involves embracing technology to modernize your processes and create a more engaging customer experience. One technology that has become essential is barcode scanners. As part of a comprehensive point of sale (POS) solution, barcode scanners can reform restaurant operations for the better, from menus and ordering to inventory and labor management.

Types of Barcodes and Barcode Scanners

There are a few different types of barcodes and scanners. One-dimensional (1D) barcodes or universal product code (UPC)-style barcodes consist of vertical black and white lines of varying width and are read using a laser scanner. Two-dimensional (2D) barcodes or quick response (QR) codes are square, pixelated codes that require camera-operated scanners to be read. Both types encode product information in a compact form that a machine can read.

Barcode scanners are wired or wireless handheld devices or desktop/presentation scanners. Codes can also be read by a smartphone camera. A 2D code holds more information than a 1D code, and a 2D scanner can read 1D and QR codes, whereas a 1D scanner reads only 1D barcodes.

The type of barcode scanner that best suits your restaurant depends on how you plan to use this technology. Here are the top ten uses for barcode scanners in restaurants:

1. Streamlined Menus and Order Processing

One of the most prevalent uses of QR codes in restaurants is providing digital menus. Customers can use their phones to scan a code from a table tent, poster, or placemat to access the menu and even place their orders. They can access detailed item descriptions, including nutritional and ingredient information, without needing to touch publicly-handled print menus.

Placing orders this way reduces errors, enhances accuracy, and improves kitchen communication and overall efficiency. All of these benefits increase customer satisfaction.

2. Food Safety and Allergen Management

The increased menu information available to customers through barcode scanning often includes allergen alerts. Barcode labels on ingredients can also be scanned in the kitchen to ensure compliance with food safety regulations. Both uses boost customer trust and confidence in the restaurant’s offerings.

3. Tableside Service and Mobile Ordering

Implementing QR codes and barcode scanners in handheld devices can enhance tableside service and guest experiences. They can enable not only tableside and mobile ordering but also payment processing. Diners can start a tab and order as they like. Then, instead of waiting for the check to take their payment, customers can enjoy expedited, contactless checkout.

4. Age Verification

If your restaurant serves alcohol, you know the importance of age verification. Barcode scanners are essential in checking IDs. Using scanners for this purpose will:

  • Reduce human errors and eliminate fraud;
  • Help you stay up to date with compliance monitoring;
  • Enhance safety and your brand’s reputation.
Bluetooth wireless barcode scanners by Star Micronics can scan and parse barcodes on driver's licenses.

5. Inventory Management

Another primary use for incorporating barcode scanners with your restaurant POS system is automated inventory management. Automating your inventory system is far more efficient and accurate than manual methods.

Barcode scanners can quickly read pantry shelf labels and monitor ingredient usage, sending the information back to the inventory management software. This helps to minimize food waste, optimize stock levels, and simplify restocking procedures.

6. Vendor and Supplier Management

Using barcode scanning for inventory management also streamlines communication with vendors and suppliers. It can help you place reorders, track deliveries, and check incoming inventory. In addition, it can ensure consistency in product quality and pricing.

7. Loyalty Programs and Customer Engagement

There are several advantages to using barcode scanners in your customer engagement strategies. QR codes and mobile apps can make it easy for diners to join your loyalty program, check their point balances, and redeem rewards, raising their satisfaction and rate of return visits.

The data gleaned from this usage can help you track customer preferences and behaviors and create personalized promotions and bonuses. You can also use QR codes to direct patrons to your social media accounts for further engagement.

Consumers are sold on the convenience of food delivery. Statista reports that online food delivery orders worldwide are projected to reach $1.22 trillion in 2024 and will continue to grow…

8. Staff Attendance and Time Tracking

Another use for restaurant barcode scanners is labor management. Barcode-based time clock systems for employees offer advantages, including reducing errors, simplifying payroll management, and monitoring staff efficiency and productivity.

9. Reporting and Analytics

Restaurant barcode scanners improve reporting and analytics. Utilizing barcode data from the previously discussed uses provides the business insights you need to make informed decisions about your operations and workflow. For example, identifying popular menu items and trends through customer and inventory data leads to menu optimization, ultimately cutting costs.

10. Automated Accounting Processes

Using barcode scanners paired with your accounting system streamlines financial management by automating transactions, expense tracking, and reconciliation. This reduces manual entry errors and significantly improves financial visibility, making it easier to track income, manage costs, and maintain accurate records for tax and reporting purposes.

The Ultimate Guide to Barcode Scanner Types and Applications

Reviewing this will ensure you make informed decisions when deciding what barcode scanner to buy for your business’s success.

Embrace Restaurant Technology and Stay Ahead of the Curve

Barcode scanners have already become “must-have” restaurant equipment, and the technology will continue innovating. Advancements in barcode scanning technology may soon include merging with AI and machine learning for predictive analytics and potential applications of blockchain for supply chain transparency.

Technology will continue to shape the future of the restaurant industry, and businesses that don’t modernize their operations and keep up with these innovations risk being left behind.

Restaurant barcode scanners are helpful in many aspects of the business, providing menu, ordering, and engagement options for customers and inventory, labor, and reporting functions for employees and owners. When you’re ready to adopt this technology and experience better restaurant management, find a trusted provider who can guide you to the right solution.
